Freda L. Willhite, 93, of Davenport formerly of Waterloo, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, IA. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. She was born, one of seven children, to James R. and Mary (Coen) Grant on March 18, 1922 in Broken Bow, NE. She was united in marriage to Dewey Van Willhite and he preceded her in death.
She retired from Blacks Department Store, Waterloo, IA after many years of service.
Freda is survived by her daughter, Judy (Marshall) Sonksen, Bettendorf, IA; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dewey; son, Darrel and six siblings.
