Gary Dean Lee, 54, of Long Grove, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 pm. Per his request, cremation rites will be accorded. Gary was born August 3, 1958 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Donald and Lavonne (Casner) Lee. His memberships included: Scott County Sheriff’s Posse, Davenport Noon Optimist Club and the LeClaire Fire Department. He also was active in the QC Air Show where he served as Director of Flight Operations. He was a volunteer carpenter at Pioneer Village and enjoyed volunteering in his community. He was a loving father, avid musician, loved his dogs and had many varied interests.
Those left to honor his memory include his father, Donald Lee; daughters: Amanda (Kyle) Norris; Jennifer Barham; grandson, Emmett Norris; siblings: Janet Rangel, Dennis (Rita) Lee, Kevin (Christine) Lee and Nancy (Clint) Galyon. His mother preceded him in death.
