Gemma D. Snell, 71, of Davenport passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at Genesis East. Following cremation, visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com.
She was born September 19, 1940 in Trinidad, West Indies and provided daycare in Davenport for many years, treating the children like they were her own. She loved bingo and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. Her grandkids were her life.
Survivors include children and spouses: Jason (Michelle) Snell of Davenport, Brian (Jill) Snell of Naperville, Illinois, and Su-Lin (Chad) Rostenbach of Davenport; and grandchildren: Mikaila, Tyler, Kari, Logan, Kamrin, Kylie, and Hayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
