George William Moeller, Jr.

Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held..

George was born December 19, 1938 to George Sr. and Ethel (Meyer) Moeller in Scott County, IA. On October 15, 1982 he was united in marriage to Carol Graves in Davenport, IA. In his earlier years he had worked as a telegraph operator for Railroad Wisconsin and manager at Dixon phone. He later worked at Caterpillar and after retiring he started “Rent-A-Husband” handyman and fencing business, which he really enjoyed. It gave him great pleasure to teach others his many acquired skills.

George enjoyed spending time on the river on his houseboat, the “King George”. In the late 60’s he was an avid pilot. He also had a small farm raising cattle. George was also a member of the Masons and volunteered for the Dixon Iowa Fire Department and Mayor of Dixon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Carol Moeller; children, Colin (Julie) Moeller, Sharon (David) Mueller, Craig (Julie) Moeller, Diana (Darren) Zabloudil, and Steven Graves; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother, Leon (Rita) Moeller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Larry.
