Gerald “Jerry” H. Gassman, 83, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in Bettendorf, IA. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jerry was born February 27, 1942 in Petersburg, IA. to Aloysius and Leonette (Kluessner) Gassmann.
He retired after many years of service as a food broker for retail grocers. He enjoyed horses, camping, fishing, and spending time telling stories with his family.
Those cherishing his memory include his son, Brian (Charly) Gassmann, East Moline, IL.; daughters, Barbara Schede, Marion, IA., Sandra Sechler, Davenport, IA., Gloria (Brad) Laermans, Bettendorf, IA., and Jamie (Ryan) Brown, Waukee, IA.; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild and his sister, Mary Agnus Schnier, Bellevue, IA.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters.
