Gladys A Goetsch

Gladys Anna Goetsch, 92, of Pleasant Valley passed away, February 4, 2016 at Riverview Manor. Funeral services will be held on 10AM, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM, Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be held at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org/donate. Mrs. Goetsch has lived in Iowa her whole life. She worked for E.H. Schroeder’s Insurance in Rock Island prior to her retirement. Before that she held accounting positions at various companies. Gladys was born on March 10, 1923 in Davenport, Iowa to Clare (Peterson) and Fredrick Huckfeldt. She married Raymond Goetsch on July 18, 1961. She enjoyed crocheting, observing nature on short drives, liked watching the Hawkeyes and Bulls basketball and eating ice cream. Those left to honor her memory including Jim (Cherrie) Goetsch, Long Grove, Gloria (Mike) Hammonds, Davenport, Cynthia Wheeler, Coloma, MI, Janet Heald, Burlington, Patty Goetsch, Coloma, MI, Linda Wheeler, Coloma, MI, Vickie (Neil) Stanfield, Cummings, GA, Joe (Peggi) Goetsch, Minot, ND, Donna Goetsch, Bettendorf, David (Kathie) Goetsch, LeClaire, and Michael (Bobbie) Goetsch, LeClaire; 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 24 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, 2 sons, and 2 grandsons.
