Glen Osborne Davis Jr.

Glen Osborne Davis Jr., 52, died peacefully in his home Wednesday, August 9, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the Runge Mortuary. Born and raised in Iowa, the son of Glen and Betty (Lewis) Davis, he was a lifelong resident of Davenport. He received his education from the Davenport Public School System and was employed with the McDonald’s Corporation. He was very self-reliant and chose to supplement his income by becoming a used goods dealer. Glen was a calm, quiet and peaceful man, who loved his family and helped whenever he could in caring for his nieces. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and confidant. He will truly be missed. He is survived by his mother Betty Ann Davis of Davenport, Iowa; four sisters, Angela (Clarence) Farsee of Woodstock, Georgia, Glinda Davis of Grand Prairie, Texas, LaNora Anderson of Tampa Florida, Adrienne Davis of Davenport, Iowa; two nephews, Rickey McBride, Jr. of Brunswick, Georgia, Michael Anderson of Columbus, Ohio; five nieces, LaTera (Andrew) Blue of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Anteasha Hall of Dallas, Texas, LaQueasha Anderson of Columbus, Ohio, Shanesha (Adrienne) Scott of Grand Prairie, Texas, Britney Anderson of Tampa, Florida; seven great nephews, Javonte, Khalil, Andre, Royal, Cole, Hezekiel, Noah; eight great nieces; Jordan, Anastasia, Kaylynn, Aveya, Reign, Ava, Haziah, Adrielle; two uncles, three aunts and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Glen O. Davis Sr.
