Funeral services will be held August 16, 2024 at Runge’s 838 E. Kimberly Road Davenport, IA 52807, with visitation from 10:00 to 12:00 and service from 12:00 to 1:00 followed by internment with full military honors at Rock Island Arsenal. Following the internment there will be a memorial luncheon held at the American Legion Post 26 at 702 West 35th Street, Davenport.
Glenn went to Rowley HS then entered the US Navy. He was married to Andrea (DeLarm) on July 21, 1988. Glenn worked 29 years at John Deere, Davenport Works, retiring February 2004. He served in the military for 28 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant, served in Honor Guard and prior Post Commander for American Legion Post 26. Glenn enjoyed stock car racing, fishing and baseball.
Glenn is survived by his wife Andrea of 36 years, Son Doug (Lori), and 5 step children: Gene (Donna), Tim (Shelly), Angela (Dan), Jennifer (Russ), and Dan (Melanie). Grandchildren: Julie (Andrew), Nicole, Justin, great granddaughter Maryann, several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Brothers/Sisters: Donald, Pauline (Robert), Phyllis (Jon), Joan (Kevin) and several nieces and nephews. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents: Verle and Mary (Kidd), and two sons Daniel and Darwin.
