

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Gregory A. Field, 71, of Bettendorf, IA will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Internment with military honors will follow at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. Mr. Field died on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf surrounded by his loving family. Gregory Allen Field was born on December 10, 1946 in Waterloo, IA, the son of Percy and Helen (Fisher) Field. Following his graduation from high school he attended the University of Northern Iowa prior to being drafted into the United States Army. He later attended Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. Following his military obligations he returned to work at Titus Mfg and then was hired at John Deere Waterloo Works. He transferred to Deere & Company World Headquarters and later to John Deere PDC where he implemented the Dealer Parts Management (DPM) program. He retired from Deere & Company in 2001. In January of 1971 he married Mary E. Golinvaux and later married Luann L. Snyder-Corbin in June of 2004. Greg was active with Junior Achievement and United Way. He was an avid Hawkeyes fan, enjoyed golf, and wood working. He was interested in current events, loved politics, and enjoyed the family vacations at Lake Chetek. Surviving members of his family include – his Wife: Luann of Bettendorf; 3 Daughters: Jennifer (Ryan) Koning of Lafayette, LA, Sarah (Dean McCollum) Field of Davenport, and Kelly (Gary) Aharrah of Altoona, PA; 3 Sons: Chuck (Shannon) Field of Sahuarita, AZ, John Field of Davenport, and Nick Corbin of Ames; 4 Granddaughters: Abby, Breanna, Charlee, and Demi; 2 Grandsons: Ian and Levon. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or the University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
