Helen Meier

Helen M. Meier, 79, of Davenport passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her home. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 2:30 PM at The Runge Mortuary. Helen was born November 28, 1933 in Everett, Washington. She was united in marriage to Harlan Meier on June 25, 1950 in Davenport; he preceded her in death on June 15, 1996.

She was employed for many years at Edward Bakery. She was a homemaker while raising her children and also served as a hostess at Rhythm City Casino. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, her dogs and traveling. She was a member of the Red Hat Club.

Those left to honor her memory include her son and daughters: Harlan Wayne Meier, Jr.; Seattle, WA; Bruce Allen (Shelly) Meier; Kevin Dean (Jamie) Meier; Kimberly Meier and Angie Smith (Terry Zentic), all of Davenport; grandchildren: Ariel, Taylor and Madison and seven great grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Harlan Sr., son, Charlie, daughter, Teresa and a grandson, Jason.
