

A Masonic service will be conducted at 11:30 AM, Monday October 1, 2012 by the Masonic Lodge #37 with the funeral service following in The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Jack was born on September 7, 1925 in Davenport, the son of George and Alpha (Wilson) Berger. He was united in marriage to Annetta Campbell on September 18, 1948 in Davenport.
Jack retired as a sheet metal worker with Scheblers after 40 years. He loved camping, fishing and woodcarving. Jack spent his retired winters in Mission, Texas with his wife. He enjoyed conversations with people and his Black Velvet and water. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include, wife Annetta; children, Clover (Rickard) Daley, Moline, Ruel (Lynn) Berger, Blue Grass, and Trema (Virgil) Lund, Walcott; grandchildren, Drake Daley, Sarah Berger-Britton, Jodie Berger, Ivan Berger, Mischka Lund, Valarie Stumph, and Jeremy Lund; and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Phyllis, and Step-father Joseph Gardner.
