

Jacquelyn Ann Flaherty passed away on April 23, 2026, in Cedar Rapids, IA with loved ones by her side. Jacquelyn (who went by Jacque) was born on January 23, 1940, in Davenport, IA to Alice (Wagner) and Jack Isenhart. After her grandfather passed away, she went to live with her grandmother on the farm in Calamus, IA. She graduated from Calamus High School in 1958 and attended the University of Iowa for 2 years majoring in Art. It is at the University of Iowa where she met Bernard “Mike” Flaherty. They were united in marriage on January 23, 1960 in Marion, IA. Together they raised six children in Davenport, IA. Jacque and Mike had a wonderful couples friend group with whom they enjoyed date nights, holiday picnics, and their annual New Year’s Eve party at the Elks club. Jacque was also a member of a monthly card club group that played together for over 40 years. She enjoyed working in her yard, her beloved dogs (Twinkles, Newman, Oliver, Olivia, Scarlett), watching classic movies and Iowa Hawkeye Football and women’s basketball, cooking for her family, traveling, decorating for the holidays hosting family gatherings and spending time with her family. After her children were in school, she went back to work and retired from the Rock Island Arsenal with 20 years of service.
She is survived by her six children; Kimberly Flaherty Grampp (Cary, NC), Tamara Flaherty Schultz (Marion, IA), Timothy and Tammy Flaherty (Mankato, MN), Kellie and Ray Umbarger (Gilbert, AZ), Kevin Flaherty (Hiawatha, IA) and Andrea Flaherty (North Liberty, IA). Grandchildren; Peter and Justine Flaherty (Mound, MN), Lindsay Woller (Gilbert, AZ), Michael and Kylie Flaherty (Golden Valley, MN), Allison Grampp and Jack Lakowske (San Francisco, CA), Meghan and Cody Aafedt (St Louis Park, NM), Samuel and Stephanie Schultz (Marion, IA), Emily and Cole Bjugson (Roseau, MN) and Sydney Schultz (Chicago, IL). Seven great grandchildren; Olivia, Owen, Katherine, Kallan, Claire, Skylar and Levi.
She is survived by her brother Jon (Roxy) Isenhart. She was preceded in death by Mike Flaherty, her sister Alja and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from noon to 2pm at Runge Funeral Home in Davenport, IA.
