He loved fishing and hanging out by the river. He loved anything “Scooby Doo,” and often would watch cartoons with his grandchildren. He loved and cheered on “The Dallas Cowboys,” along with his sons, Charles Netherland and James Netherland JR. James SR. was a kind-hearted man who would give the shirt off his back to whoever needed it. He was a private person who enjoyed his solitude. His favorite thing in the world was his grandkids.
Life threw him many heartbreaks, but he persevered.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Loretta J. Carnes; his daughter, Amanda S. Netherland; his grandchildren, Gage Netherland, Evan King, Aidan Moreno, Taylor Smith, and Kylen Miller; and a special friend, Leanna Broughton. His sister Becky Netherland
