He was involved in the Trail Blazers, Gilda’s Club, Camp Courageous, and TIP Club. He also devoted many years to the Bettendorf Chamber of Commerce and its Membership Committee. In 2007 he was voted the Bettendorf Chambers volunteer of the year. He loved fishing, traveling, and boating with his family and many friends at the Lindsay Yacht Club.
Jim was very out going and had a real zest for life. He was a loving husband, father, and son. His children meant everything to him and he meant everything to them. He was quick to make friends and quicker to make sure everyone had a good time. His courage and love for life had been demonstrated the past couple of years as he successfully battled Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma.
