James “Jim” Schroeder, 75, of Davenport, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 9, 2022 at his home. Per his request cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorial’s in Jim’s name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or to a charity of your choice.
Jim was born in 1947 to Clarence and Irene Schroeder. Following high school Jim attended Eastern Iowa Community College. Following graduation he served with the United States Army from 1967 until 1969. Jim was united in marriage to Kathleen Johnson on June 26, 1971. He started his business Jim’s Heating and Air Conditioning in 1972 and retired after 30 years in 1996. Jim was known to be a “Mr. Fix-it” and never met something he couldn’t repair.
Jim will be missed by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen; nephew Mark Schroeder; nieces Denise Hughes and Cheryl Wilson; and his cat Abby. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Craig.
