Funeral services for James B. “Toby” Hanson, 62, of Clovis, CA, formerly of Bettendorf, IA, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday, August 6 th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 at the Mortuary. Mr. Hanson died on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at his residence in Clovis following a lengthy illness. James Ben Hanson was born on June 23, 1950 in Davenport, IA, the son of Ben and Elinor (Erbst) Hanson. He was employed for 25 years, first as a mechanic and later as an instructor at Commonwealth Edison Power Company. After moving to California in 1996, he worked an additional 10 years as a project manager for Via Builders. Surviving members of the family include – a Daughter: Erin (Jay) Williams of Fresno, CA; 2 Sons: Jim (Laurie) Hanson of Bettendorf, and Mike (Amy) Hanson of Woodbridge, VA; a Sister: Linda Meier, and a Brother: Wil Hanson, and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Leonard.
