Jane Faulkner

Jane M. Faulkner, 86, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 19, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport with visitation for one hour prior at the Church. There will also be a visitation from 2:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.

Jane was born on July 10, 1927 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Walter H. and Lydia P. (Jobst) Reinke. She married Robert W. Faulkner on August 10, 1946 in Davenport. He passed away in March of 1979.

She worked at the Arsenal during World War II and at the former Scharff’s Department Store and JC Penney’s.

Jane enjoyed helping at church and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Leisure Time of Trinity, a Befriender for Genesis and did Pastoral Care of the hospital.

Survivors include son, Robert (Katie) Faulkner, Port Byron; daughter, Susan

(Gary) Schocker, Davenport; sisters, Phyllis Bartscher, Davenport, Davenport, Lois Reinke, Davenport, and Marlene Dawson, Rock Island; grandchildren, Brian (Kimberly) Faulkner, Marion, IA, David Prewitt, Johnston, IA, Kelley (Ryan) Dempewolf, Cedar Rapids, IA, Angie Bosewell, Sioux City, IA, Robert (Amy) Prewitt, Parkview, IA and Amy Rich, Davenport; great grandchildren, Ethan, Brody, Alyssa, Maxton, Matthew, Daniel, Coleson, Drew, Brianna, Sarah, and Allison; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
