

Janice A. Carson, 75, of Buffalo, IA, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 26, 2021, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport, IA. A Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo, IA. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com
Janice was born July 22, 1945 to Willie and Ruth Ferguson in Kingsport, TN. She graduated from Holston High School in Kingsport. She met her husband, Jack Carson, while visiting her sister in the Quad Cities. Janice was united in marriage to Jack Carson on July 11, 1964. The couple resided in Buffalo, IA, where they raised their family. She had a variety of jobs but most notably was owning a restaurant, The Lunchroom, in downtown Davenport. Janice enjoyed reading, Christmas time, and especially loved spending time with family, including her two dogs. She is remembered for her phenomenal cooking, decorating, being very generous and always willing to help out anyone.
Those left to honor Janice’s memory are her children: Christine (Steve) Thornton, Jeff Carson; brother, Junior (Diane) Ferguson; brother-in-law: Bill (Faye) Carson, Richard (Gale) Carson; sisters-in-law: Judy Hainline, Roberta Lisco-Carson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carson; her parents; her siblings: Lois (Dan) Riner, Clifford Ferguson, Richard (Louise) Ferguson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russ and Virginia Carson; and brothers-in-law: Tom Lisco, Don Hainline, and Rusty (Barb) Carson.
