Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will greet friends on Sunday, January 23, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Following visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at The Vineyard Church of Davenport, 2402 W. Kimberly Rd. Davenport, IA. Jean was born August 2, 1944 to Elizabeth Clauer in Dubuque, IA. She was a lifelong resident of Davenport, IA. On September 23, 1961, she was united in marriage to John Wallace in Dubuque, IA. They enjoyed 36 years of marriage until their divorce on April 1, 1998. Together they raised 4 children.
Professionally Jean was a secretary and Nurse’s Aide. In her personal life she was a loving mother, great cook, a devout Christian, and helped anyone in need.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Tamara (Salome) DeSantiago, Sheila (Bill) Stebens, Justin (Amy) Wallace, and Rhonda (Rich) Hunerberg; ex-husband, John P. Wallace; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, 4 great grandchildren, and many loved ones.
