After 70 years of blindness, Jeanne Brooks can now see in Heaven. Formerly of Flossmoor, IL, currently of Bettendorf, she passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2014 after a short illness at 88. She is survived by her son Michael (Nita) of Bettendorf and dozens of her phone friends and family across the country. She was preceded by her husband Jack and her eldest son Ken.
Her two Seeing Eye dogs gave her independence and freedom that words cannot explain. As such, in lieu of flowers, please make donations online to: The Seeing Eye at www.seeing eye.org.
As a follower of Christ, she worshiped at Our Lady of Lourdes in Bettendorf. A short worship/ memorial service will be held at The Adventure Christian Community Church, Davenport Iowa, on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 6:00 PM.
