

Jeanne Beverly Digman, 86, of Davenport, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 1:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Jeanne was born May 3, 1924 in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of John L. and Esther (Erikson) Baker. She was united in marriage to Ralph L. Digman on May 29, 1948 in Des Moines; he preceded her in death on January 21, 1995.
She attended Iowa State University and during World War II, she served in Army Signal Corps. She worked at the Des Moines Public Library prior to her and her husband moving to the Quad Cities.
Jeanne served as a teacher’s aide for Adams Elementary School in Davenport. She was a life-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. She also was a Girl Scout leader and served on the Adam’s School PTA.
Those left to honor her memory include her children: Jim (Lisa) Digman, Davenport, Stevan Digman and Sheryl Digman, both of Davenport; Jerry Digman, St. Louis, MO and Larry Digman, Austin, TX; grandchildren: Adam Digman, Evan Coberly and Nick Eddy and a sister-in-law, Bernice Morrison, San Diego, CA.
Her parents, sisters Shirley Bell and Lois Baker and a brother, Richard preceded her in death.
