Jeff “Smiley” Rehm, a man who could light up a room, passed away, peacefully, at his home on September 3, 2016. He was born August 3, 1957 in Davenport. A memorial service will be held at his union hall. Further details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone wishing to, may bring rocks to add to his gardens at home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Serving as the Recording Secretary for Local 4, Carpenters Union, he took pride in his job and his union. He was known particularly for his work as a scaffhold erector. He loved to spend his free time golfing and maintaining his beautiful rock gardens. He was a hero to those closest and a genuine man to any he met along the way. Survivors include his children: Jennifer, Jami, and Justin Rehm and Annie Stutzel; his loving grandchildren and a sister, Heidi Goff. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry and his parents, Louis and Verna. The family would also like to give a special thanks to the staff of Hospice Compassus for their great help and support.
