Cremation will be done with a celebration of life to be held 2:00pm- 4:00pm Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Blue Grass American Legion. Memorials may be made to the family and condolences can be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.
Jerry was born February 3, 1953 in Muscatine, IA to Donald & Jeanette (Townsend) Kammerer. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1969 to 1972. Jerry loved to drive and had been an over the road trucker for 21 years prior to retirement. He had driven for Adrian transport & Midwest Recyclers.
Jerry was an avid race fan, enjoyed dancing, hanging out with friends, and being the life of the party. He loved to be with his grandson and the nieces & nephews, he was the fun Uncle.
Survivors include son Daniel Kammerer; grandson Cade; nieces & nephews Stacie, Sheryl, Stephan, Garet, Lilli, Kolton, Kaleb, Kelsi, Connor, & Mara; daughter-in-law Lisa Kammerer; brother Steve (Rebecca) Kammerer; step father Bob Wildermuth; step brothers Jeff Morris, Ryan Morris, & Mark Wildermuth; step sisters Becky Hulen & Debbie Etheridge; & good friend John Reisdorf.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Son Alan, and a sister Connie Kammerer.
