Jerry Nettleton

Jerry Nettleton, 66, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Blue Grass Fire Department. Online condolences can be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

He was born March 9, 1946 in Davenport, a son of Roy and Irene (Boldt) Nettleton. He married Penny Stoffers. To this union two children were born: Paula and Rodney. He later married the love of his life, Joanne Wolfram, in Davenport on August 31, 1991.

Jerry was employed for 42 years with Builders Sales and Service of Moline, retiring in 2007.

He was a volunteer for the Blue Grass Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed playing softball, cards and going to the boats.

Survivors include: his wife, Joanne; children, Paula (Tim) Phelps, Cindy (Jeff) Streeter, and Stephanie Smith (Chris Rasso); twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Darrell) Lobdell; twin sister, Judy (John) Doolittle; and brother, Harley Nettleton.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Nettleton; his parents and a brother, Albert Nettleton.
