Joan S. Miller

The visitation will be at The Runge Mortuary on Tuesday, December 31st at 9:00 am. The funeral will be at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

She was born on July 22, 1935 in Davenport to Fred and Zelma (Gilbert) Bloom. In December of 1953 she was united in marriage with Marvin Miller. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage until his passing in 2000. Joan worked doing insurance billing for many years at ORA.

Joan enjoyed line and square dancing. She was very active in CASI as well as the Bettendorf YMCA. Joan was a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Penny (Tom) D’Auben, Bettendorf, grandson Chris (Dawn) Norris, 4 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Marvin, granddaughter Rachel D’Auben, and infant daughter Becky.
