JonAnn Ehlers

Memorial services for JoAnn Ehlers, 78, of Davenport, will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 21,2009 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the mortuary. Mrs. Ehlers passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at the Senior Star Living Center in Davenport.JoAnn Snow was born on March 27, 1931 in Marshalltown, IA, the daughter of Harold and Lucille (Barfels) Snow. She married Gene M. Ehlers on February 3, 1951 in Grundy Center, IA. After 33 years of marriage, they were later divorced. JoAnn worked as a Clerk at the Grundy County Treasurer’s Office. She then served as the church secretary for the Congregational Church in Waterloo and secretary for the Orange Township School Syetem, retiring in 1976.Survivors include her son; Michael (Marlena) Ehlers of Bettendorf, grandchildren; Michael II, Azaria, Garrick, Adriana, all of Bettendorf, and brother; Dean (Penny) Snow of Reinbeck,IA.She was preceded in death by her parents.
