Joseph M. Slick, 43, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Davenport, IA passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Spring Valley Hospital Las Vegas, NV. Visitation will be Friday, April 23 4pm to 8pm at the Runge Mortuary and Crematory Davenport, IA. The Funeral will be 10:00am Saturday, April 24 in the Runge Chapel. Joe was born October 17, 1977 in Iowa City, IA to Gary & Susan (Van Syoc) Slick. Joe was a retired MMA fighter who competed through the Miletich fighting system in the UFC and Rings Events. He had received his 5th degree black belt in Muay Thai and more recently was coaching MMA and enjoyed working with aspiring young fighters. His proudest moments were with his daughter Sidney, watching all her accomplishment in MMA.
Survivors include his daughter Sidney Slick, Las Vegas, NV; Sister Tracy Slick, Bettendorf, IA; brother Jacob Carroll, Sibley, IA; Nieces Amery & Kyla; and his step father Jeff Carroll, Sibley, IA.
Joe was preceded in death by mother Susan Carroll and father Gary Slick.
