Joshua M Long

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The family will greet friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a memorial service at 4:00pm in the Runge Chapel. A reception follow the service at the Walcott American Legion. Joshua was born December 12, 1980, in Davenport, IA to Earl Long & Rita Drapeaux. Josh had been employed at Hon Industries and more recently at Nestle Purina.

Josh was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan, Atlanta Braves, and loved his dogs. He collected jerseys, shoes, and enjoyed music, especially Garth Brooks. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by the entire family.

Survivors include fiancé Norma Cerda, Blue Grass, IA; mother Rita Drapeaux Long, Walcott, IA; father Earl Long, Mendota, IL; 4 daughters Alicia (Michael) Mayfield, Davenport, Brieonna Schulz, Double Springs, AL, Aleiha Cerda, Blue Grass, IA and Jazmin Tabbut, PA; 2 grandsons Kaysen & Kamryn Mayfield, Davenport; brother Shawn (Kim) Parr, Davenport; 2 sisters Melissa (Chris) Beuthien, Grand Mound, IA and Kelli (Mike) Miller, Ottawa, IL; and nieces and nephews.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
