

Joshua Alan Masat, 18, of Davenport, died at his home on Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Davenport. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 pm at the mortuary.
Inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.therungemortuary.com
Joshua was born August 7, 1992 in Davenport, the son of James Masat and Monica (Dean) Masat. He graduated one year early from Bettendorf High School in 2010 and was attending Scott Community College full-time and working full-time as a detailer at Total Detailing Auto Spa, where he was recently promoted to line supervisor and maintenance technician.
Joshua was technologically savvy and enjoyed computers and electronics often together with his friends. He also loved to travel, especially to Florida. He was an adventurous kid and was so well-loved by all who knew him. He was a compassionate and kind-hearted son to his mother and always took care of her.
Those left to honor his memory include his father, Jim (Christine) Masat, Davenport; mother, Monica Masat and her fiancé, John Brady; stepsister, Justine Baumer, Davenport; maternal grandmother, Jean Dean, Davenport; paternal grandparents, Bob (Judy) Masat, Davenport; aunt Mouse (Melanie Dean), Tampa, FL; additional aunts: Laura (Eric) TeDuits and their family, Madison, WI; Angie Dannenfeldt, Miami, FL; uncle: Brian Dannenfeldt, Houston, TX; best friend, Tanner Mueller, Bettendorf and numerous other close friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Merle Dean.
