Visitation will be held 4pm to 8pm Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport, IA. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Davenport Memorial Park. Condolences may be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.
Judy was born September 29, 1941 to Peter John & Frances (Kobriger) Hennings in Algona, IA, where she lived until the age of 10 and moved to Eldridge, IA. She graduated from North Scott High in 1959 as part of the school’s first graduation class. Judy soon married in 1960 and had 8 children over the 25 year marriage. She had worked as a C.N.A for 45 years at Iowa Masonic Nursing Home, Ridgecrest Retirement Village, and then back to the Masonic Nursing Home Bettendorf from where she retired in 2008.
Judy was a remarkable, strong, loving mother, friend, & grandmother. She worked hard at all she did & loved even harder holding her family near & dear to her heart. She was selfless, giving with no hesitation to helping any & all in need without limits or questions asked. She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her hobbies included cross stitch & sewing, making numerous creations for as long as she was able. She then found a love for reading and playing on her 3 tablets which she named Witchy Poo, Mikey, & Hedder. She would never miss an episode of her dear “Young & The Restless” which she loved till the end.

Moline, IL; grandchildren April Patterson & Sarah Scott both of Texas, Joshua Jones Rock Island, IL, Jennifer Jones Davenport, IA, Mariah Hansen, Davenport, IA, DJ Hansen, TX, Jeff Scott, Davenport, IA, David (Jamie) Gorin, MO, Samantha Scott, Parkview, IA, Christopher (Bambi) Scott, Davenport, IA, Francheska Clover, Downing, MO, Michael & Nicholas Waddington, both of MT, Thomas & Matthew Waniorek, Waterloo, IA; Joseph Russell, Davenport, IA, Charles Millhouse, Centerville, IA, Amanda Scott, Dubuque, IA, Katie Hansen, Davenport, IA, , Lexi Scott & Jonathan Durham; & numerous great grandchildren (Beyonca, Joey,& Jordan – love you G’ma we will miss you very much, you were awesome).
Judy was preceded by her parents 3 husbands, daughter Karen Hansen, and 3 grandsons Baby Richard, Jeramie Millhouse, & Michael Ferrel.
