Kathleen was born September 1st, 1948, to Walter and Helen (Martens) Lange in Davenport, IA. She attended Davenport schools and graduated in 1966 from Davenport Central High School. After graduating high school, Kathy went on to receive her CNA license. She worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan and The Kahl Home for many years. During this time, she took a break from caring for the elderly to care for her children at home, after being united in marriage to Edwin Eveland on June 19th, 1981, in Davenport, IA. She did return to being a CNA at The Kahl Home after her youngest went back to school full time and she chose to stop this passion in 2001.
Kathy had a small host of hobbies which were crocheting for many years, cross stitching and needlepoint, before moving on to doing box puzzles, crosswords, and coloring. Kathy was a very kind and humble soul, who loved spending time with her family and friends.
“The most beautiful thing in the world is a heart full of humility and kindness” Unknown
Those left to cherish Kathleen’s precious memories are her beloved husband of 44yrs, Edwin Eveland, Davenport, IA, one son David Harris, Cedar Rapids, IA and four daughters Ericka Eveland, Oskaloosa, IA, Dawn Eveland, Davenport, IA, Paula Kelly Davenport, IA, Angela (Eric) Lyle, Cedar Rapids, IA and 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
