

Kelsey Lea Burmeister, 24, of Davenport passed on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Manor Care, Utica Ridge, Davenport. Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Entombment will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family, for her daughter. She was born on August 11, 1992 to Dale Burmeister and Karrie (Cox) Sherrill. Kelsey attended Davenport Schools and graduated from West High School. She attended Scott Community College as often as she could, even through her cancer. She worked at JC Penneys. Kelsey will be remembered for her sweet, caring and polite demeanor. Her positive attitude was contagious; she could cheer up anyone. She was admired for her strength and determination. Kelsey was a great mother and adored her daughter, Emily. Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Emily Caven; Emily’s father, Justin; mother, Karrie (Robert Dvorak) Sherrill; father, Dale Burmeister; siblings, Kayla (Luke) Kerley, Kris Wilford, Brad and Melinda Huber, Lauren (Cody) Walther, Jessica Dvorak, Shannon Dvorak and Rebecca Dvorak; grandparents, Kim Felske, Anthony Cox and Ken (Wilma) Burmeister; great-grandmother, Betty Johannsen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Andrew Felske and Jack Mcleod, and great-grandfather Raymond Johannsen.
