Kenneth Joe Bowman

Kenneth Joe Bowman, 84, of Davenport passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Manor Care. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Kenneth was born on June 2, 1932 in Durant, IA the son of Joseph and Freida (Martin) Bowman. He was raised in Moscow, IA. He was united in marriage to Sandra Leach on June 14, 1984. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2014. He worked at ALCOA for 38 years until he retired. Kenneth was a member of Heritage Freewill Baptist Church and the Mississippi Valley Country Music Association. He loved music, especially playing guitar, harmonica and piano. He was a loving father and grandfather that will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Jim (Chris) Bowman, Darlington, SC; step-daughters, Sherri Kraklio and Bert Layman, both of Walcott, IA; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Freida; wife, Sandra Bowman; brother, Marion; sisters: Jean, Bethany and Carolyn; step-son, Denny Kraklio; granddaughter, Brittany (Boo) Layman and grandson, Jeremy.
