Funeral services for Larry C. Matthews, 62, of Davenport will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Matthews passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Manor Care, Davenport surrounded by his family. Larry Charles Matthews was born on March 16, 1951 in Louisville, KY, the son of William and Mary (Goss) Matthews. On March 25, 1979, he married Jill Hansen in Davenport. They later divorced. Larry worked as a carpenter prior to his retirement in 1984. He is survived by his children: Jessica (Brian) O’Hara of Port Byron, IL, Jason Matthews of Davenport; a Brother: William “Junior” (Rita) Matthews, Jr. of Davenport; and Grandson: Kaiden Cooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Daily, and a brother, Buddy Matthews.
