Larry A. Murphy

Funeral services for Larry A. Murphy, 55, of Bettendorf, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Mr. Murphy died on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Davenport.Larry Allen Murphy was born on September 24, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, IA, the son of Virgil and Sharon (Yuskis) Murphy. He married Carol E. Gubbe on July 26, 1997 in St. Paul, MN. Larry had attended San Jose State University in CA and had been employed as the service manager at the former Lerch & Thonn in Rock Island, IL. More recently he had worked as a sales representative for the Katun Corp. in Davenport.Survivors include – his wife: Carol; 3 daughters: Lindsay Murphy of Moline, Sarah Murphy and Molly Murphy both at home; 1 son: Benjamin Murphy at home; his mother: Sharon of Brownsville, TX; his father: Virgil of the Philippines; 2 sisters: Lynn (Leslie) Jackson of Kent, WA and Christa Murphy of Pensacola, FL.He was preceded in death by his brother: Terry.Memorials may be made to the Edwin A.
