Lea Ann Wright

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lea Ann Wright, 80, of Davenport, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Davenport. Lea Ann passed away in her sleep on Monday, December 3rd, 2018, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, with her daughter at her side. She joined David, her husband of 60 years, just 18 short days after his passing. She missed him so much and they could not bear to be apart. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lea Ann McCabe was born in Des Moines, IA on October 13, 1938, the daughter of William Leo and Anna (Smith) McCabe. On May 31, 1958 she married David Wright in Des Moines, IA, recently celebrating 60 wonderful years of marriage. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and spent much of her life volunteering at church and helping the elderly and those in need. She enjoyed china painting and traveling with her family.

Surviving members of the family include - 3 Daughters: Cynthia Hicks of Jacksonville, FL, Polly (Matthew) Haag of Buchanan, VA, and De Anna (Scott) Dickerson of Moline, IL; Grandchildren: Alexis and Nicholas; and a Great-Granddaughter: Madeline.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, parents, and a daughter, VickieWerner.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the River Bend Food bank or local food pantry.

The family would like to give a special note of thanks to the entire staff at Jersey Ridge Place for the wonderful and loving care shown towards their parents. Mom always said she felt like it was home. Additional Thanks to the nursing staff at Unity Point Hospital at Terrace Park and the Clarissa Cook Hospice house for their kind care during Lea Ann's final days.
