Lois L. Knutson, 98, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at The Alverno Senior Care Community. Funeral services to honor her memory will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2pm at Weerts Funeral Home; visitation will be before the service starting at 1pm. Memorials in Lois’ name may be to Compassus Hospice Care. Burial will be at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, Arizona.
Lois was born on April 27, 1925 in rural Preston, Iowa to Carl and Anna Steenfatt. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1943. Lois was united in marriage to Eugene Wyatt in September 1945; he passed away in 1993. Lois later married Merle Knutson in 1995 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; he passed away in 2013. Lois loved to travel, she and Gene lived in Sun City West, Arizona after they retired. She later moved to Minnesota to live with Merle and his family after their marriage. Following Merle’s passing, she moved back to Clinton. Lois was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish in Clinton. She enjoyed to spend time sewing, quilting, and playing cards with her friends.
Those left to honor her memory are her son Ken (Cathie) Wyatt of Camanche; two granddaughters Leah Wyatt of Phoenix, AZ and Elaina Wyatt of Fulton, IL; along with her three step-sons Mark (Joan) Knutson, Lynn (Lori) Knutson, and Craig (Rena) Knutson and all of their families.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands Gene and Merle, her parents, and her two sisters Edna Manemann and Irene Lehmkulh.
