

Lowerance Peniston, 66, of Rock Island, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her home. Per her wishes, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Lowerance was born on June 20, 1955 in Jonestown, Mississippi to TJ and Marie (Stewart) Vesey. Lowerance worked for Oscar Meyer as an assembly line worker. She retired in 2012.
Lowerance loved her gospel roots. She was a member of Christ Apostolic Church of Davenport. She was a huge supporter of her grandchildren. Lowerance attended every single sporting event they had. She was a fashion designer with her own label, St. Lowerance. She made clothing for her family and close friends. She was an artist who loved to paint and she was in the process of designing her own home. Lowerance loved to cook and she never went a day without watching an episode of Gunsmoke.
Survivors include her daughters Laticha (David) Lacy, Tierra Peniston ((Aaron)Buggs)); grandchildren Darrell, Desmond, Daysia, Darius, Charda, Janelle, Olivia, Siravia; mother Marie Vesey; brothers and sisters Tommy, Harry, Jerry, Glen, Betty, Charlene, Dewayne, Janet, Christ, LaTonya; special son Darrell Woodson; best friends Mrs. Cora, Wendy Anderson, and Elliot Thomas.
Lowerance was preceded in death by her father TJ Vesey; sisters Florence and Nanette.
