Funeral services for Lucille Greer, 86, of Bettendorf, will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 12:00 pm to service time at the Mortuary. Burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Zelda Lucille Greer reunited with the Lord and her beloved husband Ken on April 20, 2013. Lucille was very loved by family and friends alike. She had a way of talking with, and more importantly listening to people that allowed them to "bare their soul". Because of this wonderful ability, her circle of friends was a very large one, yet she always had room for one more. Lucille had a long career with Orthopaedic Surgery Associates. She retired after more than thirty years of hard work and remained on their huge invitation list for Christmas parties and functions. She was held in very high regard for her hard work ethic and kind spirit. As her children, we were most fortunate. She was our mom, but she was also our best friend. She was always there for us no matter what the hour, we could always count on her for a heart to heart talk. Mom will remain in our hearts forever. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Jim) Thompson of Alexander, Arkansas, Mitch (Nancy) Greer of Blue Grass, Iowa, Vicki (Dean) Quinlan of Davenport, Iowa, 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Erna (Julius) Johannsen, two nieces, one nephew and a Godson, Brad Seibel. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken, parents, Oscar and Delila (Houseal) Allensworth, and brother Melvin Allensworth. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Organization. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.Cunnick-Collins.com.
