Margaret “Marge” L. Tarpein, 85, of Davenport passed away July 14, 2017 at Good Samaritan Home, Davenport. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 12 pm on Saturday July 29, 2017 at the Runge Mortuary. A luncheon will follow immediately after the visitation at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Marge was born May 10, 1932 in Quincy, Il to Clarence and Francis(Farrell) Welch. She married Lewis Tarpein in 1955 and the divorced in 1972. Marge was a homemaker for many years and then later becoming a CNA. Marge loved garage sales and collecting antiques. She was also an excellent cook. Survivors include her three sons; Dan Tarpein, Nick Tarpein, and Dennis Tarpein; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one sister, Pat Nutt. Marge is preceded by her parents, one husband and one sister Nancy.
