Maria A. Nelson, 87, of Bettendorf passed away on October 4, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 7 at Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may left to the Clarissa Cook Hospice.
Maria was born on May 29, 1929 in Vienna, Austria to Franz and Maria Ambros. She came to the US in 1955. She worked at Wonder Bread Bakery and then for the Bettendorf Schools.
She took great pride in taking care of her house and garden.
She is survived by a daughter Heidi (Dan) Moran, of Fremont, Nebraska, grandchildren, Linsey, Jamie, Emily and Daniel, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Robert Kuhser, of Davenport, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.
