

Marilyn Joy Miller, 75, of Eldridge, Iowa passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Davenport. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Park View Lutheran Church in Park View, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the church, where memorials may be made. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Online condolences may be

She was born December 10, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Lawrence and Pauline Williams. On December 31, 1955 she married Cyril L. Miller in Blue Island, Illinois.
Mrs. Miller was a legal stenographer. In former years, she had taught in the Prince of Peace Preschool in Davenport and ballroom dancing for Arthur Murray. She was a member of the Park View Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping, and fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Cyril; son and daughter-in-law Cyril J. and Stacey Miller; granddaughter Shannon Miller; her mother Pauline Flynn; brother Jack B. Williams and his wife, Esther; sister-in-law Woodeane Podkulski; uncles Eugene Short and Jessie Sweeney; aunts Betty Urbanowski and Ima Wade; nephew Mitchell, and his wife, Rachel Williams and their children Elizabeth, Asher, and Colin; and a niece Melinda, her husband, Scott Hill and their children Kelsey, Matthew, Eric, and Kevin; as well as numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew, Michael Williams.
