Marilyn Rae Norberg

Marilyn Rae Norberg, 77, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Bettendorf, surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at noon at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2015 from 5pm until 7pm at the mortuary. Marilyn was born November 21, 1937 in Cedar Rapids, IA; the daughter of Ivan and Evelyn (Miller) Simson.

Marilyn was united in marriage to Virgil E. Norberg on October 4, 1963 in Davenport; he preceded her in death on December 10, 2013. She cared so much for others, always putting them first. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and was a very family-oriented person. She had a passion for life although feisty. Marilyn played the organ for many years and had a passion for music as well. She enjoyed going to auctions and antiquing with her husband in earlier years.

Survivors include her children: Victoria Mills; Randy (Kelly) Norberg; Tonya (Pat) Purcell; Howard (Connie) Norberg; Linda (Jason) Pojar and Margo (Allison) Norberg; grandchildren: Lakyn, Kylie, Autumn, Alec, Abigail, Colin, Kali, Malorie, Howard Jr., Seth, Hailey, Grace, Noah and Ayvah and her siblings: Karon (Dick) Wilcox and Denny Simson. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
