Marion L. "Lucky" Foster

Marion L. “Lucky” Foster, 88, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 PM with the service following at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus. Online condolences and tributes may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Marion was born on May 12, 1926 in Bushnell, IL, the daughter of Carl C. and Neva J. (Foster) Quigley. She was united in marriage to Ira Foster on July 22, 1944 in Rock Island, IL. He passed away in 1991. Marion loved her family, enjoyed the casinos, bowling and gardening (she was very proud of her flower beds). Survivors include her children, Jack R. Foster, Spickard, MO, Susan (Ronald) Hernandez, Princeton, MO and Neva (Tom) True, Stockton, IA; nine grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 15 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira; son, Carl; four sisters; five brothers; and daughter-in-law, Patty. The immediate family would like to thank the entire family for all their love and support as well as Dr. Schreck and his staff and the Lutheran Home for their care and compassion.
