

Marjorie I. Fogler, 93, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Davenport, went home on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at 2:00 pm at the Runge Mortuary on August 3, 2016. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Scott County Animal Shelter. Online tributes and condolences can be left at www.therungemorturary.com. Morjorie was born the daughter of George C. and Maude D. (Crowder) Peek on June 21, 1923 in Appanoose County, Iowa. She was united in marriage with Ed Fogler. Marjorie obtained her GED and went on to achieve a Nursing Aide Certification. She worked at Oscar Mayer for many years and at the Rock Island Arsenal until her retirement. She then went on to Royal Neighbors where she used her nursing skills. After moving to Texas she volunteered at New Hope Manor in Cedar Park where she was awarded numerous Certificates of Appreciation. Marjorie was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church in Davenport where she was baptized. Also she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Cedar Park, TX and First Baptist Church in Gallatin, TN. Those left to honor her memory include: sister, Sara (Sissy) Young, Macon, MO; daughter, Patti Welch, Gallatin, TN; granddaughters, Jaleanne Hensen, North Little Rock, AR, and Marjorie Adams, Houston, TX; grandson, Earl Milburn II, Thorntown, IN; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed Fogler; brothers: Harry, Amos, Junior and Charles.
