

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Runge Mortuary, with burial in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p,m, Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Mortuary. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Davenport or the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Mary was born July 1, 1921 in Chase County, KS, the oldest child of John and Agnes (McCallum) Wells. She was united in marriage to Henry T. Biehl on December 22, 1946 in Elmdale KS. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1996.
She attended a one room schoolhouse in Chase County KS through 8th grade and she graduated from Elmdale High School in 1939. She also attended Emporia State Teachers' College and Salt City Business College. Earlier in life, Mary had been an executive secretary for the extension office at Kansas State College (where she met her husband) and later with the Wichita Chamber of Commerce. As a result of her husband's job transfers, they lived in Wichita KS, Fargo ND (where their daughter Linda was born), Lincoln NE (where their daughter Janet was born), Bettendorf IA, Warren MI, Succasunna NJ and Davenport IA. She was a 40-year member of First Presbyterian Church, Davenport where she served as a deacon and prayer chain coordinator. Her graciousness was an example and an enduring legacy to all of those whose lives she touched.
Survivors include a daughter Linda (John) Molyneaux, Davenport; two grandchildren Jessica (Jason) Molyneaux Marsh, Eagan MN and Mark (Sarah) Molyneaux, St. Paul MN; and a great grandson Edison Henry Marsh.
Mary was preceded in death by her Husband Henry; her daughter Janet Lee, in infancy; and all of her siblings: two brothers, Robert Wells and J. David Wells; and a sister, Dorothy Vaught.
