

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mary L. Schnoor, 92, of Davenport will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Mrs. Schnoor died on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Ridgecrest Village in Davenport.
Mary Louise Rauch was born on October 19, 1927 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Irwin and Edna (Willers) Rauch. After graduating from Davenport High School she began work as a secretary for the Davenport school system. After taking time off to raise her family she returned to the school system and retired in 1988. On January 29, 1949 she married Kenneth W. Schnoor at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport. He preceded her in death in January of 1992.
Mary was a long time and active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport. She was an avid reader and her life was filled with dancing, travel, and card clubs.
She is survived by - her children: Nancy (Reid) Odean of Rock Island, Kathleen (Jeff) Ward of Blue Grass, and James Schnoor of Davenport; her Grandchildren: Kelly (Cory) Shook, Patrick Schnoor, Kelsey Lighton, and Rebecca Ward; Great-Granddaughters: Addison Shook, Lilly Shook, and Livy Lighton; a Sister: Joann (Melvin) Oberhous of Davenport and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Irwin 'Bud' Rauch, and a Daughter-in-law, Pamela K. Schnoor.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport or the Scott County Humane Society.
The family wishes to extend a special note of thanks to the nurses and staff of Genesis Hospice and Ridgecrest Village.
