He was the husband of Tesha Hall. They shared 15 years of marriage.
Michael was born June 5, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Orene Hall.
Michael graduated from Henry Ford High School in 1986. After graduating high school, Michael spent two years at Wayne State University majoring in Business Administration. He earned his Bachelors of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University. His military school included Primary Leadership Development course; Chaplaincy Resource Manager course; Basic Noncommissioned Officer and Advance Noncommissioned Officer Course; Contracting Officer Representative Course; and the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt Courses, including certification.
Michael enlisted in the United States Army on September 15, 1988. He retired from the military after serving 26 years, achieving the title of Sergeant First Class Michael J. Hall. He attended basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey, and Advance Individual Training, at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, where he was awarded the MOS 71M (now 56M), Chaplain’s Assistant. He was deployed once in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and once in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Michael’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award); the Army Commendation Medal (9th award); the Achievement Medal (8th award); the Army Good Conduct Medal (8th Award); the National Defense Service Medal (w/2Bronze Service Stars); the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; the Korean Defense Service Medal; the Humanitarian Service Medal; the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (w/Numeral 3); the Army Service Ribbon; and the Overseas Service Ribbon (w/Numeral 4).
After retiring from the Military, he began a new chapter in is life on October 1, 2014 as a Budget Analyst for the U.S. Army Contracting Command.
Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, vacations, and visiting museums.
Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Tesha Hall; his four children: Breylon (LaTasha) Eiland, Mike’la Hall, Tre’Vonte Hall and Maylasia Hall; and his two grandchildren, AJ and Zion Eiland. Along with his wife, children, and grandchildren, Michael leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Orene Hall; his brothers, Windell Hall and Anthony Burdette; his sister, Chavon Hughes; his aunt, Mimi; aunt, Gladys; his uncle, Al; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Deacon Alfred J. Hall Sr. and Hazel Ree Yelder-Hall.
