Michael R. Schulz

His funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. Visitation will be from 12:00pm till 2:00pm Tuesday at the Mortuary. Mike was born July 18, 1956 in Davenport, IA to Arthur & Elva (Dyer) Schulz. He was united in marriage to Christine K. Moritz on December 15, 1979. She preceded him in death May 4, 1983. In 1991 Mike married Barbara Proesch. Mike had been employed for 20 plus years with Payless Cashway until they closed in 1998. He then went on to work for Pro Build for another decade before retiring.

Earlier in life Mike had enjoyed softball leagues and golfing. He had a passion for the outdoors and his fishing trips to northern Wisconsin, was an Iowa Hawkeye & Green Bay Packer fan, and loved to tinker in his garage and talk with neighbors.

Survivors include Son Michael Paul (Michelle) Schulz, Davenport; Brothers Tom, Jerry (Ginger), and Steve Schulz all of Davenport; father and mother in law Richard & Lynn Moritz, Davenport; and nieces & nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and 2 sisters Judy & Janet.
