

Muriel L. Grant, 90, of Buffalo passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 12:00 pm on July 25, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be an hour before the service. She was born the eldest daughter of Ralph and Viola (Reb) Dodds in Pleasant Valley, IA. She was a graduate of Davenport High School, where she was a drum majorette. She and her husband owned and operated Grantville Marina from 1971 to 1978. Later she retired in January 1986 from the Rock Island Arsenal after 27 years of service.
Muriel was a longtime volunteer with the City of Buffalo in their clothing give away. She enjoyed bowling, her card clubs, traveling with friends and spending time with her entire family.
Those celebrating her life include her children: Sherry (Bob) Shinn, Apache Junction, AZ, Connie (Gilbert) Coonfare, Haines City, FL, Charles Kroeger Jr., Buffalo, IA, Diana (Dale) Stowe, Buffalo, Steve (Barb) Grant, North Port, FL; two brothers Gordon (Judy) Dodds, Newton, IA and Ralph (Audrey) Dodds, Davenport, IA; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Charles Kroeger Sr., John Grant, and Franklin “Bud” Davis; daughter, Patricia Posten and one grandson.
